Update for my lovely sister

God is so Great!

For a good couple months, Tom and I have been praying for a car. Tom's car recently(for awhile now) quit. It no longer has the running power to do what it is called to do so we have been praying for what we should do since we only have one car. I usually went to my job, then picked Tom up at his job which then put too many miles on the car. Well! The Lord answers prayers in unique ways. My older sister Kjersti and her husband Joel went to this one concert in her town and saw this one car that was going to be raffled away at the end of the conert. She decides to put her name on a raffle for fun(and they had no idea we've been praying for a car) and their name was called so they won a free car! She called me and told me the news. I was excited for her and she said they were going to give the car to a missionary or a couple in need of it. I didn't say anything to her because I didn't feel right about it.

Well a couple of weeks went by and she called Tom and I up and asked if we wanted the car?! We then asked if she was serious and they asked if we wanted it and we took the offer! THEN!.... we decide to try to find cheap one way air plane tickets and then drive the car back (she lives in kansas) and the Lord reminded us that we had a voucher from our honeymoon last year! We took that voucher and the ticketing person at the airport put both of our flights on that voucher and so we had free air plane tickets to get the car!

This happened on our one year anniversary!

Update on what is happening in my life.

It has been extremely crazy. Christmas got over and I haven't been able to stop yet and take a deep breath. It's okay though, because in less than a year, I will be done with my bachelor's degree in Business Management from my online schooling from Liberty University. Praise God! You might ask, "Brittany are you giong for your Masters degree?" My reply, "Nope." It has been a long time coming to just get my one degree done and can't fathom going on to my Masters. For those of who have gotten it all completed, Great Job! It just isn't my time to do more schooling. And Guess What?! Tom has been extremely well! He might not think so, but I am so proud of him! He has been a busy bee as well. He completed his certification from an online institution as well and working toward his second certification! :) He leaves me on Monday for a whole week to go to North Carolina to go speak to youth pastors about the event that is happening in March- the Battle Cry event. It's our first time that we will be apart for a week. We'll be fine- I have a great friend coming to visit me. Colie Phillips! (She's the one on the right)

We will be doing homework in the evening on the weekdays, than Saturday- girls day out! Heading to Tyler to shop, eat, maybe get my hair done?! who knows... :) I had the honor of having her come to our home in October and now on Monday through Sunday of this week. We'll have a great time!

Side Note: Can you believe that in less than a month, Tom and I will be married for a whole year already?!!!! This year has been the most amazing and yet the most challenging in my life. God has taught us both a lot. Tons of challenges have come our way, but with His help, we have made it through those times. I can't wait to celebrate our one year! Any ideas of what we should do?

 A season of homework and work.

This is what a night of homework looks like. I have one year left. I just have to push through this season.

Then, I go to work:

This is my good friend, Vinita. She's a mom, a grandma and definitely makes you laugh a lot. Only if I could describe how things work around there. It's very different and at times hard to keep the vision in front of me, but the Lord I know has put me there for this season.

Other than that- I miss my entire family. The Holidays are coming quickly, and my older sister is having a baby around December 15th- which I have no idea when I get to go see her and her family. My side of the family isn't going to be able to get together I don't think until February?... We are getting together with Tom's side on Dec. 14-16th, but that's so short.

I guess it will be a season of coming up with our own traditions and just being thankful.
